In this session participants learn the fundamentals of using Audrino-based programmable microcontrollers to create multi-layer embedded commands that provide outputs to effect everything from lighting to other switching applications that add interest in a custom automotive interior. Unlike a simple on/off switch, microcontrollers can monitor various inputs to change the state of output responses in timing, voltage, frequency and more based on specific conditions (such as door open/closed, vehicle moving/still, temperature of cabin, battery voltage, etc.). Imagine having a ‘smart’ control of electronics you add into the vehicle so things are truly personalized and custom to the client’s wishes. If you thought relays were cool, wait until you jump into microcontrollers.
What you will learn
- What a microcontroller does
- Coding an Audrino-based microcontroller
- Compiling, looping and coding statements (//, /*, */)
- Handling errors –checking your code commands
- Use cases and creative applications in automotive
